Data corrections

Our focus is on accurate, verifiable, and explainable data. Rather than relying on opaque location signals or unverifiable third-party data, IPLocate builds IP address intelligence from real-world network telemetry and verified routing data. So when we say an IP address is in a certain location, we can show you exactly why we say so, and where the data comes from.

We won’t always get it right, but we’re always improving.

If you’ve found something that isn’t right, please submit a correction. We’ll investigate and update our data as soon as possible.

Correcting data for IP address ranges you own (ISPs, hosting providers, network operators)

If you own or operate IP address ranges, please set up an IP geolocation feed (geofeed) and add it to your registry records as described in our guide. IPLocate (and other providers) will automatically find and use your geofeed to correct your IP address data.

You can also manually submit your geofeed to IPLocate on our corrections page.

If you need to submit a different correction, please get in touch with us at [email protected].

Correcting data for your own IP address

If you’re an end user and we’ve detected your location incorrectly, you can submit a correction for your own IP address on our corrections page.

We’ll use your device location to verify the correction. We only store a lower-accuracy version of your location for a limited amount of time, without any other identifying data, as explained in our privacy policy.
