Quota & rate limits

You can make a certain number of API requests per day or per month, depending on your plan.

With no API key	50 requests per day by IP address
With free API key	1,000 requests per day
With paid plan	From 100,000 to 5,000,000+ requests per month, depending on plan

If you exceed your quota, you'll get a 429 error.

Checking your usage

You can check your usage for your current period in your account dashboard.

The API also provides headers in each response to help you track your usage:

X-RateLimit-Limit	The maximum number of requests you can make in the current period, including credits
X-RateLimit-Remaining	The number of requests remaining in the current period, including credits
X-RateLimit-Reset	The timestamp of when the current period resets

Quota reset time

Your daily quota resets at 00:00:00 UTC each day, and your monthly quota resets at the start of each calendar month — regardless of when your billing date is.

Usage notifications

We’ll send you email notifications when you’ve hit 90% and 100% of your quota. You can turn these off in your account settings.

We’ll also send you notifications when your credit balance is low, if you have purchased API credits.

Rate limits

You can make up to 100 requests per second from a single IP address (within your plan limits). If you need to make more frequent requests, please contact us to increase your rate limit.
